DONATING A BLANKET GIVES THe POOR A WARM WRAP TO GET THROUGH COLD NIGHTS

Winter and monsoon season can be really tough, especially for those who don’t have adequate resources to keep themselves warm and cozy during the cold nights. That’s why, here at Happiness Acts Trust, decided to take action and make a difference in the lives of those in need. We do our Blanket Distribution Drive in the cities of Bengaluru, Chengalpet, Coimbatore, Ooty and all over Nilgiris.

Through this initiative, we aim to provide high-quality blankets to the homeless, elderly, and children from low-income families who struggle to keep themselves warm during this chilly weather. We strongly believe that every person deserves to feel warm, comfortable and safe, and it is our utmost responsibility to ensure that they receive the love, care and support they deserve. Objective

To protect the underprivileged, homeless, old-aged and children from the bitterness of cold by providing something as basic as blanket.

As the temperature drops, it’s important to think about those who are vulnerable and don’t have access to adequate warmth and shelter. This includes the underprivileged, homeless individuals, elderly citizens, and children. During the winter season, blankets can serve as a vital source of comfort, providing a basic level of warmth that can make all the difference. By making an effort to provide blankets to those in need, we are helping to protect them from the harsh reality of the cold weather. Whether through donations, volunteering, or other means of support, there are many ways we can lend a helping hand to those who need it most. Let’s work together to ensure that everyone has access to this essential resource, and can enjoy a safe and comfortable winter season.

Beneficiaries in Bengaluru

More than 1000 families of construction workers and daily labourers residing in temporary sheds in and around Bannerghatta Road, Arikere, Vijaya Bank Layout, Devarachikanahalli and Lingrajpuram

Beneficiaries in coimbatore

Around 500 people belonging to Narikuravar Tribe who have migrated to Coimbatore for livelihood. They all stay as a group in temporary tents around Thudiyalur Weekly market area. There are many children and elderly in this community.

Beneficiaries in ooty and nilgiris

Donating a blanket in Ooty would be extremely helpful because the region experiences cold temperatures throughout the year. Situated at a high altitude, Ooty is known for its pleasant climate but can also be quite chilly, especially during the night. Blankets would be of great use to the underprivileged residents who may not be able to afford adequate heating during the winter months. Many migrant workers who are working on farms and construction sites in the area may not have access to proper shelter and warm clothing. Therefore, donating a blanket can go a long way in providing warmth and comfort to those who need it the most. Overall, a small donation can make a significant difference in improving the living conditions for the less fortunate in Ooty.
