Be a part of “positive feedback loop”
There exists a magnetic field between kindness and happiness.
When you are happy, you tend to be more open to helping and providing for others. Your kindness spreads joy among those who need help as well as it also engulfs you in positivity and goodwill.
Lara Aknin, a Canadian social psychologist and the lead author of “Happiness Runs in a Circular Motion: Evidence for a Positive Feedback Loop Between Prosocial Spending and Happiness” says, “The practical implications of this positive feedback loop could be that engaging in one kind deed (e.g., taking your mom to lunch) would make you happier, and the happier you feel, the more likely you are to do another kind act,”.
Simply put, the happier you are, the kinder you get; the kinder you get, the more happiness you spread!
As Eleanor Roosevelt said “Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.” So, the more happily you give, the more impactful it becomes.
What has happiness to do with giving
Whenever you are happy or whatever occasion makes you happy, you now have a way to double your joys by adding joy in the lives of tens and hundreds of people. You could probably choose to share your happiness, special days or achievements by contributing ₹40 to provide a meal box to feed a hungry; ₹250 to provide a small school kit to support a child’s education for a year; ₹300 to provide a blanket to a homeless that may save their life; or maybe provide something you feel will benefit greatly to the receiver!
Because happiness is not how much you give, but how much love you put into giving! So, doesn’t matter how much you contribute, it will certainly make a huge difference in someone’s life.
